How Coach Boniswa became vegan

Boniswa's plant-based journey began with a single question: could food alone heal what years of fad diets had broken? After years of yo-yo dieting and energy crashes, she traded processed foods for a fully plant-based plate of African staples: beans, lentils, sorghum, leafy greens, peanuts and seasonal fruit.

Her plant-based transformation

Within months her digestion settled, her skin cleared, and her workouts felt lighter. The transformation was not just physical. Plants gave her clarity, calm and a renewed relationship with African food traditions she had forgotten.

Her weight-loss journey

In her early adulthood Coach Boniswa weighed around 110 kilograms. Through consistent plant-based eating, daily movement and patient habit change she released tens of kilograms of body fat while protecting her muscle and energy. Plant-based protein shakes became a practical part of her toolkit, used alongside whole-food African meals to hit her daily protein target on busy training days. She tracked measurements, kept an honest food diary, and rebuilt her body composition with whole foods, smart supplementation and consistent strength training.

Why she became a nutrition coach

Friends, family and gym mates kept asking, what are you eating? Boniswa founded Eat More Plants to share what worked: a balanced African plant-based lifestyle, supported by plant protein shakes where helpful, and steady accountability. She now offers one-on-one coaching through Best Nutrition Club so everyday Africans can replicate the same results, affordably and joyfully.

Her passion for sustainable food systems

Boniswa believes Africa already has the answer to climate-resilient nutrition on its plates: indigenous grains, legumes, leafy greens and fruit. Her work champions local farmers, low-waste kitchens and food that nourishes both people and the planet.

Her philosophy on health and wellness

Health is not a punishment, it is a daily celebration. Coach Boniswa coaches habits over rules: hydrate, move, eat plants you love, sleep deeply, connect with community. Sustainable change is built one warm meal at a time.
