Frequently asked questions

Is plant-based eating expensive?

Not at all. Lentils, beans, sorghum, millet and seasonal produce make plant-based meals some of the most affordable, nutrient-dense food in Africa.

Where do vegans get protein?

From legumes, soy, seitan, nuts, seeds and whole grains. A varied plant-based plate easily meets and exceeds protein needs.

Can I build muscle eating plants?

Yes. Combine resistance training with adequate calories and 1.6 to 2.2g of protein per kg body weight from beans, soy, lentils and plant protein blends.

Is plant-based nutrition suitable for athletes?

Absolutely. Carbohydrates fuel performance and plant foods are rich in recovery nutrients and anti-inflammatories.
